A delicious breakfast option that nourishes! This recipe yields two servings, so if it's just a party of 1, half it. If your looking to feed a family of 4, then double it!

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 5 minutes

Total duration: 10 minutes

Yields: 2 servings

Serving size: 1 cup of oatmeal

Ingredients:

1/2 tablespoon of butter

1/2 teaspoon of all all spice

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

3 tablespoons of brown sugar

1 cup of water

1 cup of milk

1 cup of rolled quick oats

1 whole apple

Cinnamon for garnish

Steps:

1. Set the stove on medium high and melt the butter in a sauce pan. Meanwhile, cut the apple into small diced pieces and add half of it into the melted butter.

2. Add brown sugar, all spice, and cinnamon. Allow the apples to soften and brown sugar to liquify (about 3-4 minutes.)

3. Add cup of water and cup of milk and let it come to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and add cup of quick oats and stir.

4. Continue to stir until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Remove from heat and serve in a bowl.

5. Add remainder of diced apple, sprinkle cinnamon, and add any other toppings you like. I love adding bananas and blueberries to mine as well.

6. Enjoy!
