We have been social distancing for about 4 weeks now, so we're all probably getting a little bored of the same old routine: wake up, eat, work, watch netflix, sleep, and repeat.

Well, here is a fun activity that can introduce a little spontaneity for all ages to enjoy. Making soap sounds difficult and challenging, but I promise it is super easy and so rewarding. There are so many different recipes you can try at home, but today I am sharing with you all the three most popular ones: Lavender, Oatmeal & Honey, and Coffee.

I have added most of these items at my LiketoKnow.it page, in case you want to shop all the items in one place.

What you'll need for all three recipes:

- 1 oz spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol

- Silicone Soap Mold

- 2 Lbs Melt and Pour Crystal Soap Base: Goat's Milk

- Measuring Cups, 4 Cup Glass Measuring Cup, and Measuring Spoons

- Silicone Spatula

- Plastic wrap

- Optional: ribbon/yarn for decoration

Lavender Soap Recipe (for 6 bars of soap):

- 60 drops of Lavender essential oil

- A pinch of dried Lavender flower buds for each soap bar

Oatmeal & Honey Recipe (for 6 bars of soap):

- 1 & 1/2 cup ground up rolled oats

- 3 tablespoon of honey

- A pinch of rolled oats for decoration for each soap bar

Coffee Recipe (for 6 bars of soap):

- 1 & 1/2 cup of ground coffee beans (from your morning brewed coffee)

- A pinch of whole bean or ground coffee beans for decoration for each soap bar

- 6 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Directions (Yields 6 rectangular soap bars):

1. Remove the soap from the plastic by turning the container upside down and cut the block into two equal parts. Set one half aside and cut the other half into two equal parts. Set aside a half and place the remaining back into the container. The 3/4 block you set aside will yield 6 rectangular bars of soap.

2. Cut the soap into 1 inch cubes and add to the 4 cup glass measuring cup. Place the measuring cup in the microwave for one minute. Remove and stir with silicone spatula.

3. Continue to heat the soap in 30-second intervals (stirring in between each interval) until most of the soap has melted. Once there is only a few pieces left, stir until it has melted completely. Be careful not to overheat.

4. Here comes the customization! Depending on the soap recipe you want to recreate you'll stir in the ingredients mentioned above to the melted soap base. Do so quickly as the soap will harden pretty fast.

5. Once you have added all your ingredients to the soap base, fill the silicone molds to the brim with the soap mixture, add your decorations to the tops of the soap, and spray with rubbing alcohol generously. You'll see all the bubbles in the soap disappear in an instance, leaving the surface with a nice smooth finish.

6. Let sit for 30 minutes, then cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 8 hours to fully harden. Then, gently remove the bars of soap from the silicone molds and tie with some ribbon to gift to someone, or add it to a glass container for decoration in your bathroom before use, or just use it for your next shower! It's yours to keep so do as you please. :)

I hope you all enjoy these recipes and fun DIY. If you decide to make some at home, please share with me your creations by tagging me on instagram.

With Love,
